Our History

Heritage Baptist Church began in 1995 when a group of Christians from south Snohomish County were driving nearly an hour to attend church with people of like mind and spirit. The pastor of the church recommended that this group meet for midweek Bible study in a home closer to where many of the people lived in order to minimize drive time. The midweek gathering grew and it became obvious there was a core group who were committed to starting a new church. Heritage Baptist Church was formed and the first members were officially added.
The group continued to meet and pray and through a series of answered prayers, they were able to call a pastor to the church in early 1996. The first official worship service at Heritage Baptist Church was held on Easter Sunday, 1996.

The church rented a daycare center for Sunday services and met in a public school for midweek services. In 1999, Heritage Baptist Church moved to rented facilities at the Lynnwood campus of Cedar Park Christian School where it now holds all of its services. As the church grew, various ministries and outreach activities were started to meet the needs of the congregation and to evangelize the surrounding community.

Heritage has established ministries in the areas of: worship, Sunday morning Bible classes for children, teens and adults, mid-week programs for adults and children, community outreach and missions. Heritage is known for its excellent music program and its fervent congregational singing. In the years since its inception people have come to know Christ as Savior, Christians have been discipled and families have been strengthened through the ministry of Heritage Baptist Church.
We sincerely invite you to experience for yourself the excellent Bible teaching, fervent spirit and warm fellowship that characterizes Heritage Baptist Church.
